Inside Sales Specialist - Medical Instruments

Medline Industries, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Inside Sales Surgical Instrument Specialist in our Corporate office in Northfield, IL. . This person will provide extensive knowledge and expertise to our sales department and customers regarding Medline?s surgical instrument lines. We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional with a solid education or background in the healthcare industry and a desire to work for a fast-paced, large corporate organization. In addition to exceptional leadership and analytical skills, you must have a ?roll-up your sleeves? attitude. Although these sales are conducted inside and not out in the field, this is not a telemarketing or customer service position. Candidates should be able to demonstrate clinical product features and benefits via the phone or webinar.


  • Creates and conducts sales presentations for Medline?s surgical instrument portfolio.

  • Calls on multiple clinical and non-clinical decision makers in healthcare facilities.

  • Interacts with clinicians to communicate product choices, and lead product evaluations, trials and in-services.

  • Partners with Medline sales force to grow targeted accounts.

  • Establishes and nurtures client relationships.

  • Acts as Product Specialist supporting field reps and customers.

  • Follows up with the customers and sales reps when evaluations/implementations are completed.

  • Participates with division on overall product strategy, competitive analyses, research and development requirements as well as other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor?s degree or commensurate experience required;

Relevant Work Experience

  • At least 3 years sales or related business experience.

  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels.


  • Some travel may be required for business purposes (within state and out of state).

  • Previous experience selling in hospital and/or healthcare industry.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
