Job Summary
The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for administering programs and coordinating logistics for the planning and delivery of CAP leadership and staff learning opportunities.
Core Job Responsibilities
Facilitating and serving as program manager for New Employee Orientation.
Managing online compliance training, including launching, scheduling and monitoring and reporting on training compliance
Coordinating the L & D annual calendar and all Learning Opportunities communications
Administering the Dayforce learning management system on behalf of the Learning & OD team
Stocking and maintaining the library of learning content in the Learning Management System
Updating eLearning modules using Articulate software.
Administering the CAP?s use of licensed programs and resources
Working independently within established guidelines and with minimal supervision.
Partnering with L & OD colleagues to ensure smooth and effective L & OD operations such as registration, communications, evaluation and reporting.
Qualifications for this role
Basic presentation skills.
Program management skills ? able to manage multiple aspects of a complete program (e.g., online compliance training, New Employee Orientation)
Skilled in exercising positive influence and a customer service focus when working with staff, presenters, and vendors.
Demonstrated initiative and flexibility.
Strong team orientation.
Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Models effective listening, and feedback skills.
Solid experience using Microsoft applications, particularly:
o Excel,
o Outlook
o PowerPoint, and
o Word
Able to use or willing to learn Survey Monkey software.
Willing to learn Articulate software.
Willing to learn Dayforce learning management system.
Undergraduate degree strongly preferred.
Minimum of 3-4 years of business, training and/or customer service experience.
Prior HR and Learning & Development experience is a plus.
Travel Requirements
Typically travel is not required for this position.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
