Applications Architect - Logistics / Warehouse Manageme

Medline Industries, Inc. continues to grow, and grow, and grow some more. And this growth has enabled us to create a new position within our Logistics Systems area in the Information Services Department. We're looking to add a Solution Architect on our Logistics team. This position will initially work out of the Mundelein, IL office, then will transfer to the Northfield, IL headquarters in May, 2018. The role of the Architect is to work with the business, functional and technical teams to define, document, implement, support and educate on solutions to meet business objectives. He/she will work with those teams to ensure that the overall composition of the solution meets the goals of the Logistics team and its business sponsors. Responsibilities Identifies the flexibility, speed of implementation, quality, scalability, supportability and cost of ownership of the solutions being implemented Becomes familiar with Medlines entire solution landscape to help leverage and extend that landscape to meet business and technical objectives Keeps current on technology trends both in the industry as a whole and with the applications deployed in the Medline landscape, including researching and implementing new and/or alternate technologies that will further business goals and provide competitive advantages Helps to define standard methods and processes for system integration, ensuring adoption and use of those standards Creates detailed architectural specifications to document the architecture decisions; communicates the architectural specifications to designers, developers, contractors and business sponsors in a directly actionable, clear and unambiguous manner Collaborates with Enterprise Architect Team to review solution design, any new implementation or introduction of new technology to ensure compliance with Medline standards Provides technical leadership throughout the project life-cycle As needed, performs as an Analyst/Developer either to assist the Logistics team in various initiatives, or to implement architectural designs Recommends necessary changes in the existing logistics applications to ensure efficient functionality and cost savings Provides technical expertise in the areas of warehouse management, transportation management, and labor management solutions Assists in preparing the long term strategic plans and implements them in the logistics architecture Assists in estimating the size and scope of projects on the logistics roadmap Identifies technical risks upfront and bring it to the attention of management Skills, Experience and Education Required Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal team members as well as business stakeholders Minimum 10 years of experience as a software developer, including 6+ years experience working as a Senior or Lead Developer and/or System Analyst in a logistics applications environment. Includes a minimum of 5 years of experience in at least 2 IT solution disciplines. Demonstrated ability to deliver projects leveraging SDLC methodologies (familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile). Expert knowledge in warehouse management solutions such as Aptean-Catalyst, Red Prairie, Manhattan, SAP, etc. Familiarity with UNIX, Linux, and Windows platforms Exposure to Oracle PL/SQL development, Java, as well as system administration Extensive knowledge of Application Performance Monitoring & Management tools such as AppDynamics, ExtraHop, etc. Ability to understand and communicate project management concepts Knowledge of financial models and budgeting Strong problem solving characteristics with the ability to think out of the box Must be able to work with others in a collaborative fashion Excellent troubleshooting skills About Medline: Medline is the largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of healthcare supplies in the United States, providing more than 350,000 products that serve the entire continuum of care. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
