Business Development Manager - Functional Products

The Business DevelopmentManager will be responsible for developing and delivering the strategic growthplan for the Functional Products Business. The primary focus will includedriving expansion and growth of targeted product lines as well as developingnew business based on market knowledge and adjacent segments.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Identify, assess, and develop business cases for NewMarkets Applications/Segmentation/Chemistry/Product Opportunities/Mergers &Acquisitions that are aligned with the Functional Products Strategy/GrowthGoals
2. Responsiblefor market research and needs identification. Generate and utilize critical market and competitive information toestablish and drive segment strategies.
3. Developing and managing the North American productportfolio and project pipeline.
4. Supportthe ongoing strategy development and execution for the Functional Products Business.
5. Participateon North American and Global Functional Products Business Teams as a keystakeholder for driving and executing business priorities, as it relates togrowth opportunities. Liaisonwith cross functional team ? Business Management, R&D, Technical, ProductManagement, Sales Management, Supply Chain, Legal, Customer Service,Supply/Demand Management to ensure new business development priorities andcritical issues/opportunities get the attention and focus required to achievetargeted goals and objectives.
6. Utilizekey business reporting information to communicate, track, measure and adapt toevolving market and competitive situations.
7. Prospecting/directcustomer interaction and attending leading industry conferences to gain abetter understanding of the market.
8. Recommendpricing structure and product positioning to manage and maximize margins fornew growth opportunities. Coordinate with Business Manager to implementpricing.
9. Support,develop and implement market communications and promotional activities.
10. Coordinating introduction of new products/technologiesinto other regions.
Bachelor's degree in related field.MBA preferred.
5 years of related business experience,10 years preferred.
Strong technical acumen to identify newchemistries/technologies that will support growth strategies.
Experience working in a matrixedenvironment
Self-starter with the ability toidentify and proactively resolve business issues.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and across departments.
Strong analytical, problem solving skills, metrics-drivenand process-oriented.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and continuous process improvement mindset.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
