Senior Manager Payroll Tax (Remote)

JOB SUMMARYResponsible for the Payroll Tax function within US Medline payroll in addition to functional program leadership for full life-cycle Workday implementation and other payroll projects.
This role will be the primary Payroll project leader for Workday implementation reporting to the Payroll Director.
Responsibilities include project execution, input on system configuration to ensure alignment with strategic objectives, cross-functional project team collaboration, testing execution, issue resolution and Workday roll-out/change management/ and department training.
Upon Workday implementation, this role will focus on tax.
Responsibilities include managing and optimizing all payroll tax activities, related to compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations for the company and its affiliated entities.
Responsible for advising business partners on all payroll tax matters including tax compliance and related research.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESoLead, collaborate, and execute Payroll Workday project implementation tasks aligned with the Program PMO office including support of change management content and end- to-end process validation.
oLead and participate in the identification and prioritization of simplification process opportunities through collaboration with functional teams to mitigate risks.
oPartner with stakeholders, to execute project objectives while ensuring quality content and timely execution.
oDrives the UAT for tax updates and system enhancements.
Establishes tools and repositories for storage, and tracking of testing scenarios or cases.
oDevelop, manage, and report on key performance indicators and metrics.
Reviews metrics with stakeholders and implements solutions that work best for the team.
oAnalyzes data and maintains high standards of system governance.
oResponsible for the overall management of payroll tax liabilities including the planning, filing and the reporting of tax liability of the business.
Ensures accuracy of payroll tax deposits, W2 reporting, as well as conducts reconciliations to balance the system of record at the employee level to the third-party vendors and internal systems.
oIdentify government reporting regulations impacting payroll and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practiceoDevelop and maintain policies and procedures related to the payroll tax process identifying related process dependencies and cross-department impacts.
oAccountable for resolving and responding to employee's tax issues, tax notices, and tax audits.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $98,124 to $173,160 annually.
This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities.
This role is bonus eligible.
Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.

Education oBachelor's Degree.
Work ExperienceoAt least 5 years of payroll tax experience.
Workday payroll experience required.
oAt least 3 years of experience directly managing people including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work.
Knowledge / Skills / AbilitiesoExperience working with cross-functional teams and facilitating teams to identify and implement solutions to complex problems.
oExperience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
oExperience controlling and coordinating concurrent projects, competing priorities and critical deadlines.
oExperience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions.
oStrong knowledge of payroll tax regulations as well as knowledge of taxable fringe benefits.
oMulti-state payroll tax filing / payroll and workers compensation audit experience.
oDemonstrated strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills including ability to work with all levels of Management.
This position requires up to 5% travel.
